An Unity 3D Project
About
This is literally my first game design these years. I explored how to make game in Unity, and how to make game in 3D. The gameplay is pretty easy, just run away from zombie, run in the city and find the door.
Environment Design
In this Game, I modeled everything by hand, and textured them. I want to make a city that is wasted for many years, and I tried to make the whole atmosphere.
I explored with Unity High Definition Render Pipeline, which make the render really a lot better.
The huge building in the background is actually the Beijing TV Station building, and I love the design of it, so I modeled it here.

About "Run Away"
"Run Away" is a simple game.
As you can see, being my first game, it's more like a half-finished piece. Yet, I still love it and dedicated half year to it.
I modeled each building and streetlight by hand, designed levels, and wrote code. This might be the most earnest project I’ve worked on, especially since I knew so little at the time.
It’s an Parkour game, and there wasn’t any deeper consideration behind that — it was simply because this was the only gameplay I could do, so I went for it.
I included one of my favorite buildings, the Beijing TV building. I added zombies similiar to Minecraft's and sound effects from Plants vs. Zombies because I thought it would be fun. I even devised a way for players to parkour up to the highest building in this world, allowing them to break through the invisible wall.
All of this came together because I find them enjoyable.
I believe creating games should be as simple and fun as this. I made this game because I enjoyed it, plain and simple.
The game needed an ending, and since it's called "Run Away," I designed an exit for it — a surreal door. When players open this door, they aren’t transported anywhere; instead, a message simply appears on the screen saying, “You win.”
This design is random and absurd, but it’s also interesting.
Everyone probably has something they wish they could escape from, so I created a door in the game to tell players they win.
But in life, there’s no such door, and no one will tell you you win just because you managed to escape.
I wish there were such a door.
Finally, thank you for reading this, my friend, and I wish you be happy every day.
