
About Time and Place
This is a first-person game that takes you through the journey of life, from childhood to old age. Along the way, you’ll encounter moments that might remind you of things from your own past, bringing up memories, or making you think about someone special. This game seeks to evoke a sense of nostalgia, reminding everyone of the places and moments we can no longer return to and the fleeting beauty that slips through our fingers. If, for even a moment, players find themselves lost in thought, touched by a distant memory from their own past—then that is all I ever want to achieve.
Inspiration
This game draws from my own life experiences. I’m someone who feels a strong sense of nostalgia, often moved by the changing seasons and the passing of time. It’s been 9 years since I come to US, and I’ve realized that many memories from my youth becomed blurry. But I can still vividly recall the sound of cicadas in the summer, the hum of bustling crowds, the taste of my grandmother’s handmade noodles, and the faint, oddly comforting smell of cigarettes on my father’s fingers.
When I was young, the sky was blue, the grass was green, and everything felt clear and vibrant. The day felt very long, I had so much time to explore and play.
Now, the days seem shorter, and the things we can do seem fewer. Over time, we lose that sense of wonder we once had.
Yet, every now and then, a memory resurfaces — triggered by the smallest of things — and we find ourselves lost in a moment from long ago, feeling a sudden wave of joy or sadness.
This game is my attempt to capture those beautiful moments, hoping it will stir similar feelings for those who play it.

Initial Ideas
Initial Ideas is to make a game that shows the rush of time, at this point, I designed some numerical things like "IQ", "Mental Health" something like that. It is more like a game "Chinese Parent", or any similation games.
And as I making this game, I find it might be better to more focus on feeling rather than the daily life, so I changed the structure of the game and add a lot of events in it.
This is after I changed my structure, as you can see I cancel the rpg-like numerical design, and add more on feeling and experience the whole game.
Life is not about numbers and requirement, life is about stories, friends, the thing you like, and the precious memories.
Initial Designs
Before I start making this game I have a lot of ideas, and some of them I put in the game, some of them I did not.
And there are something I plan to put in the game later, like after retired, time will be very slow.
About This Game
"About Time and Place", it also have a Chinese name,
“关于时间和一切易逝的美好”,
Which means time and every perishable beauty.
Time and place are two nouns I paralled here, but actually they are not. Time passed, and then those place and things we cherished changed.
More and more, I find every beautiful things perishable, I tired to catch them but I cannot.
Even if you are the most successful people in the world, you still cannot preserve the time.
So, "About Time and Place", I hope you like this game.
And also, I kind of stoled this name from Ai Weiwei, he published a book about his blog, called "Time and Place".
